Favorite or Least Favorite Compensator and/or Flash Hider?

Once upon a time I installed an AAC Blackout flash hider on a BCM M4. I never did get to shoot it in low light before someone talked me out of the rifle, but I'm considering adding that to another AR, probably this time a pencil barrel Colt 6720.

One compensator I will NOT be using ever again is the BCM Gunfighter compensator. I am convinced it was spitting material back in my face and was the reason I went with the AAC Blackout to begin with.

What's your favorite flash hider and/or compensator and most importantly, WHY?

    Vortex G6A4.

No washers, no timing, low torque spec, keeps itself tight, seats on the muzzle face preventing carbon build up, one of the best flash suppressors, has very little effect on accuracy.

Interesting. I'm looking it up as we speak, but I was wondering if you know how the "self-tightening" feature works.

1.) Surefire SF3P because I can attach my can to it once the fed decides I can have it, and it does a decent job with flash suppression.

Favorite is the A2 Flash Hider. No nonsense, cheap, tough. I have the Gunfighter too. Never had anything spit back at me. It's on a 14.5 BCM middy.

I have other mounts and stuff, but nothing remarkably bad or good.

A2 if not silencing for general shooting

The surefire 3 prong is very effective at flash reduction. I use the break on an 11” and works well, but prefer FH for unsupressed shooting.

Dead aur mounts look interesting- FH has a good rep and the brake looks pretty interesting with the side ports to disrupt the flash (and concussion?). No experience, but Id like to get some time behind one.

I've referred to this flash hider/compensator shootout many times:

As have I. The Vortex seen in that test is the G6A2, the newer G6A4 is supposedly an even better flash suppressor and supposedly has even less effect on accuracy than the A2 and A3 models.

I've never seen tests done that included the Vortex G6A4 though.
