Thread: Colorado HS wrestler forfeits state tournament match rather than wrestle girl

    But what if the opponent had XY chromosomes but identified as a girl?

    In other news, biological women won't be placing in a lot of high school sporting events in "woke" states from here on. I think it was CT that just had trans-women take first and second place for some statewide HS track championship.

    This is really just getting out of hand.
    Even if they are matched in weight, there is no possible way they are close to even in bone and muscle, it's just a real good way to get a girl physically injured for life. I'm not sure how much further this needs to go because essentially his forfeit propelled her even further up the ranks and increases her odds of getting hurt.
    I'm not sure how many of you guys have seen some High School Football players lately, but they pretty much are the same size Professionals were in the 1960's.

    Having wrestled in HS as well I can’t imagine how a girl can possibly be competitive. Especially at the State level technique alone is not going to win matches. It is muscle against muscle and I’ve never met a female with equivalent (by weight class) muscle density and bulk. I’ve known female weight lifters and they still don’t compare to equal weight males doing the same level of training.

    If she has progressed that far on technique, strength and endurance then I am awed. I would genuinely like to see it if she is for realz.

    Personally back then I would have wrestled her. I was driven to compete and anyone on the mat was fair game. Maybe later I would have thought WTF? But in State competition it would have been “Drive on!” Then I would have laughed hysterically at the guys at her school she beat out to be on varsity!

    I guess I was just a raging stud who would have seriously considered wrestling a gal. I did rodeo and was the place kicker for the High School football team. Ethics and morality were always part of the picture, but you tell a 16 year old normal teenage boy he gets to roll around on the mat with gal that maybe doesn't look too bad, and it's part of a sanctioned sport. I can think of lots of my high school associates who would be trying out for the wrestling team. Sometimes biology is stronger than religion or morality.
