That's one possibility, but I think most still feel it not us, from other star systems in our universe. They may travel via other dimensions, etc, but some think more time travelers that space travelers. Who knows?!

This is why I say: Dig into this as deeply as you have time to devote to it.
Once you are deep down the rabbit hole you will find that all of these phenomena are somehow potentially related: UFO's, Bigfoot, Skywalker Ranch, David Paulides Missing 411 (see the History Channel special "Vanished" available on Amazon IIRC), and even things like poltergeists.
The key is: extradimensional.
Something is crossing over from another dimension in many different forms and its methods are varied. Its intentions are open to speculation.
Seeing spaceships is just a tiny fraction of the big picture.
