I have prior military experience; 11B & 11BC2 to be exact, but if I defaulted to it I'd be wearing TA-50.

The gear, to include rifles and optics really evolved after I ETS'd and unfortunately I didn't keep up with the times, but that is changing.

I'm comfortable with that. If I'm taking the time to wear my "battle" belt, or plate carrier there is probably a need. Like the weather sucks and I want to stay warm and dry, or armor as a class requirement.

    inner/outer setup

So in an effort to get rid of some bulk from a war belt, I decided to go with an inner outer setup. I replaced my ATS war belt with this setup.

    SOE 1.5 rigid belt
Bianchi inner belt (looking for something a little stiffer tho)
    HSGI pistol taco X2
    HSGI double decker
    Maxpedition dump pouch
    G-Code RTI belt mount
    G-Code Safariland RTI adapter
    Safariland ALS holster for G19
And my favorite pieces, which allowed me to attach all of that... Down Range Gear's Pals Belt Platforms. This has seriously been the best part of it. Gave me the ability to securely, and I mean SECURELY, attach molle pouches to the inner loop velcro of the belt.

I was a little worried the 1.5 would be too small but so far it's worked out fine. I used it yesterday for the first time, somewhere around 4-5 hours, and it never was uncomfortable. Even went for a little hike through the woods. The inner belt really helps stabilize everything and possibly stiffened up the belt a little more. I would however like to have an inner belt that isn't as flimsy is the bianchi, something a bit a tiffer that will work well with the SOE.

I'm not split66 but I've been running a similar setup for the past week teaching classes.

Same belt with the HSGI belt pad
Safariland 7ts on a gcode rti
Esstac double pistol and double rifle pouches

I got the belt before the pad and it made a big difference in comfort when wearing for 6hrs at a time. The "sticky" material does a good job of keeping the belt from riding up.
