I modified a few Safariland holsters to better match my belts. I wanted to be able to run a GLS instead of an ALS sometimes just because it's lower profile. I also wanted a matching holster for the S&W M&P 9 2.O compact I just bought for my belt, and I wanted to try a few of the full coverage Safariland ALS models like the 6390. I also modded some Glock 21 holsters since my Polymer 80 fits them. I think they came out pretty decent.

Does anyone have any experience with all four of these belts? I would like to know the best/worst features of each belt, like can you attach pouches with TEK-LOK, the Volund is 2” would that be a disadvantage over a 1.75” belt, it also has both horizontal and vertical MOLLE mounting options, is that an advantage?

I owned the ronin Belt . Sold it because I ordered it to large. When I re-ordered I went with HTC. For the simple reason that molle on these lower profile belts makes the mag holders sit to far down . So when I would squat they banged into my legs and knees. Other then that the Ronin is super well made : I went with a 2 belt system without Molle and esstac mag carriers with the Belt loops. Tech lock won't work on any of the belts you listed : At least not the smaller one. The larger ones may. I think Ronin has a Video that shows them using Teck'loc . Quality wise I was really happey with the Ronin. But owning the HTC I am happier yet. Plus it's less bulky . I should mention I don't carry alot > 1 rifle and a double Pistol Mag Carrier : Knife and my cell phone.

Here's a system you can order with or without Mollie : Seen good reviews https://bluealphagear.com/collection...ouble-belt-rig

Thanks for the info. I found a used SENSHI Belt for a good price, going to try it out.

What kind of mag pouches did/do you use?

Now that I have the belt school me on mag pouches, I am looking at G-Code Scorpion, and Esstac KYWI. Advantages/disadvantages of each. Also best way of mounting.

Just look back through this thread, and you'll see a shit load of Tacos & kywis. Tacos have positive retention (a loop that holds the mag into the pouch) while kywis are open top and use molded kydex and friction to hold the mag. I have never had a mag dump out of my open topped kydex, but then again I am not fast roping out of a bird / doing combat jumps / military free fall / falling down a mountain with this shit on.

    MOLLE directly to the belt.

Do your own research. It is all right here. If you have specific questions about a specific piece of kit, I am sure someone who has it can step in and advise.

I think a lot of it is personal preference. I’ve used Tacos for years and HSGI has just released the LT versions when I was setting up my belt so that is what I chose. Very happy with them. No experience with the Esstac but the Tacos are more versatile, at the expense of sometimes being harder to reinsert a mag. I had one Scorpion but wasn’t a fan, didn’t really have a reason though.

Have my own reason for not using Tacos. Would like to see the Scorpion, and KYWI up close, but nothing around here that I can find.

I like the idea that you don't have to draw the mag straight up with the Scorpion, but am leaning toward the KYWI.

Does anyone know if the KYWI pistol pouch will hold a Leatherman tool?
