Eventually there will be nowhere left to “just move” to ...

Live free or die - same as it ever was.

    Lucky..

Family 1st came to America in the 1860s..

Got drafted, captured and died in Andersonville.
DNA helped in IDing my great great grand uncle
Family never came back to states until the 1960s.

I envy anyone who had lived here a long time.

I believe in peace, love and extremely violent weapons systems... just in case that whole peace-and-love thing doesn't work out.

My family tried living out here in the late 1600's but were run out. Came back in 1750 and made a stand, despite constant Native Raids.

You can see why I have a stiff backbone regarding packing up and moving. Too much family blood shed on this land, plus all the hard work, good times, bad times - Life.

Pics of family grave markers from the late 18th Century and ruins of the stone house (fort) from 1750:

That’s incredible. It really makes me wish I had some knowledge of my family history.

Problem with DNA sites, that knock at the door might be your grandchild and or child.
