SHARPIE markers green first time reload, black second time reload red third time reload...…. blue fourth but I really haven't gotten that far. And if I shoot several different reloads in one range session, I merely sort by the color on the head of the case......

I used to use sharpies to put bands on my brass. Worked pretty good. But our disorganization and chaos put an end to trying to stay buttoned up. Also during the last panic, we were raiding the public range for all the .223 brass we could get. So mixing all that stuff together was too much.

Small batches of large caliber brass is easy to track. 223 brass with range pick ups gets messy. I’ve paired all my brass down to 2 lots. Some old cases of CBC brass that I bought during the panic that are on their 5th reload. The other lot is Lake City from various places.
