You can soak it in vinegar and the rust will literally fall off with a q tip, toothbrush. Start with 4 hours at a time. I once left I part in the tub for 1 day it literally started eating the metal.

There must be something about GA and stolen Wilson Combats. Had my Protector stolen in Valdosta back in '09. Cops recovered it and one of the other guns I had stolen a couple of days after I reported them. (I was out of town at the time.)

Took about a year to get it back since it was used in a homicide. About 6 months after I got it back, had it stolen out of my truck in Atl. Got a call from the Atl ATF office sometime in 2013 after moving to Warner-Robins saying that they had recovered it during a joint bust with the DEA.

Took 2 more years and a letter to the federal judge to get it back, but now she stays in the gun safe
