Are the Red Flag laws going to be people’s line in the sand?

So here's the deal I think is being overlooked for the most part.

You have politicians and judges and LE that really care less what the constitution or other "superior" laws say. They do what the hell they want. (See:Gavin Newsom). You have half the population that agrees with the stuff they do and so don't care (overlooking that it could be the same behavior in the reverse that they don't agree with but have set the precedent) and half the population that disagrees, perhaps even vehemently, but aren't going to do anything but gripe about it on an internet forum.
