What Do You Recommend in a Metal Framed 9mm?

I just had a wild hair to get something other than a polymer framed 9mm.

I've been fondling a Browning Hi Power at the LGS recently. He's also got some CZ's in stock.

What's the latest poop on a good reliable metal-framed 9mm handgun?

Hi Powers are no longer made. So if you fancy those, might grab that up first.

Cz are awesome and probably a better pistol compared to the Hi-Powers. They have many models to choose from.

HD but not necessarily concealed. I'm a huge Glock 17 fan so I'm used to full-sized pistols.

The Beretta 92 LTT is often seen as the best iteration, on par or even superior to the a Wilson offerings.

The Sig Legions remain a fairly good choice, albeit still some luck of the draw issues.

CZ is a perennial favorite on the competition scene.

Nighthawk has a double stack upgrade that utilizes an aluminum frame.

Walther has their new steel framed PPQ that's competition oriented.

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

If you don’t mind big heavy guns, the Shadow 2 is an amazing pistol, especially after a little Cajun love. You will have to manually decock. Some are afraid of that for some reason, but it’s done by thousands of people every weekend in competition.

There is also a SP01 Tactical that would offer a decocker.

The LTT 92 is an excellent choice, and like the CZ, it benefits from a good trigger job.

My next pistol will likely be a CZC Bull Shadow optics ready variant.

I drooled over pics of this, too, and then I woke up and realized, "No, because......Kimber?"

My next metal framed 9mm will likely be another Dan Wesson 1911. Love my PM9 so much I wouldn't mind having a companion carry piece.

I'd still love to get my hands on a Beretta 92 Compact Type M, but finding a decent one in the wild for a non-ludicrous price is like finding a unicorn.
