what upper(s) did you find work well with the FM lowers?

Glad I still have a stripped lower to build. I'll do a pistol brace on it.
Okay found the Matrix info. I duckduckgo searched and found the stuff. You can get an upper/lower/handguard combo deal. Not cheap. If you like excellent quality I say "buy it!" https://matrixarms.com/shop-all-prod...wer-glock-if8p

I've got a PSA lower as a pistol it's not bad with a BA 9mm barrel, JP bolt and 45 can. In fact works good with low buck steel case ammo. I think I'm using a PSA 9mm buffer and SpringCo action spring. In fact I've thought about SBR'ing it but then I'd be back to why I got it... No paperwork traveling with it.
Side note: a A5 buffer with standard length pistol / carbine buffer tube can be used to preventing possible 9mm case from hammer area and less battering of bolt stop. I do that when converting my SBR to 9mm.

+3 for the FM-9 from Foxtrot Mike! Less than $700 and it's freaking sweet!

I just picked mine up last week and ran it thru its first 300 rds.
I'm still trying to figure out how they packed so much into this price point.
The only (potential) negative is the Joe biden trigger - creepy little bastard, but easily replaceable.

Thanks. The more research I do, I'm definitely leaning towards FM based on features at that price point. I think I'd prefer the 7 inch barrel so I'll probably wait for that one to come back in stock.

I have the FM-9 with the 7 inch upper and the 7 inch tri-lug upper. Excellent shooter in either configuration.

I wanted a very compact setup, without the need for a folder etc. I was a little hesitant to go with the shorter 5", as I wasn't sure about accommodating lights etc. I’m a bit of a minimalist and don’t usually prefer to use cables and switches, but the limited real estate of the 5” hand guard sets the light too far to the rear to use the thumb forward activation. This makes it the ideal candidate for the #cdlcs. Now it feels perfect as far as hand placement etc.

Does the Foxtrot Mike FM9 have the last round bolt hold open ? I'm trying to find a rear charging 7" or 8" barrel but the only complete setup is a side charging handle (non-reciprocating)… I'm wondering if it would interfere with a Cloud Defense OWL?
