I’m shooting most of them every weekend for a comparison video. They’re starting to sort themselves into two groups: range quality fun or something you’d stake your life on. Guns like the Scar, Spear, Bren 2, XCR, Makasi, MCX and Galil Ace get grabbed as my vehicle gun on any given day.

I received an email today that my repaired Carmel is on the way back to me.

My Carmel made it home today. The gunsmith's report indicates that they replaced the broken buttstock latch, replaced the firing pin blocker, replaced the firing pin spring and reworked the gas regulator. I'm crossing my fingers that the latter doesn't mean they opened up the port holes.



I really like the utility of the built-in cheek rest, but it remains to be seen how durable it is.
