What denotes a "latest generation" Enhanced Bolt Carrier? I made a purchase early 2019, and it has a chrome lined gas key.

The easiest way to tell is that the bolts don't have the shinier finish that they used to. It is more of a "satin" silver color, like hard chrome.

For people having extraction issues have you tried using a standard bolt with the e carrier? I plan on running an Enhanced carrier with a standard BCM bolt in a 11.5”. I have had several people tell me they have had no reliable issues with this set up.

My extractor in my lmt ebcg does seem like it is easier to “lift” than the one in my spare (new) colt with insert and o ring as it shipped from brownells.
I ended up ordering extra ebcg springs on Monday,just to have.i’m going To put a few hundred handloads through it next weekend,i’ll Post back with results.

I run standard bolts in all my E-Carriers, with exception of the latest one I scored. I know several others who do the same thing. No issues at all.

Yeah this is how I run mine. Hopefully down the line I'll pick up a E bolt to try out, but up til now standard bolts from known suppliers have worked perfectly.
