I don't know how the actual stats ended up shaking out when all was said and done, but there was at one point estimated to have been 85% non-compliance when the Connecticut laws went into effect. So apparently a huge number of CT gun owners were refusing to register or dispose of their guns, defying the ban......in the most useless way possible.
Because their defiance constitutes hiding their contraband guns in the crawlspace because of the consequences of getting caught with them. They don't dare shoot them, they don't dare bring them out of the house, the guns won't do anything but sit hidden away for years. The guns remain in their possession but through their own actions have been rendered irrelevant. They defied the letter of the law but actually still complied with the spirit of it.
The Antis don't need to come get our guns if they are able to scare us into locking them away and never touching them.
I'm not saying what the CT gun owners did is wrong, but that type of "resistance" is pretty useless. It's all a lot of thinking about "someday" when the time will be right you'll go get your AK in the attic, but "someday" never comes.

Now it seems like the guy -should- be able to say that. That's pretty much what the 2A is for. When the .gov tries to oppress you. But evidently not. Especially when you phone it in to Anti 1A and anti 2A "representatives".

He apparently had a few choice words for a couple of the Freshmen as well.

Even if you want to interpret what the guy said as a threat to kill the senator....based on the phrasing, the threat of lethal force is indicated to be contingent upon the senator ordering a hypothetical hostile action.
