Pick up a Taran Tactical +6 extender, 23 rds total. Mine has been 100%.

I’ll second that. My only gripe is that they make my gun auto forward sometimes.

I never understood why people see that as a problem. At least 99% of the time I insert a loaded mag, I want the slide to go forward...

What happens when you use a regular 17 round magazine and it doesn’t go forward like you’re expecting? What about when it doesn’t fully go into battery (I’ve experienced that)? Sure, I suppose I could add extended baseplates to all my magazines but then I would have issues with concealment. I prefer consistent repeatability in my shooting. Also I should amend my original post to “sometimes” they make my gun auto forward.

My 17 rounders do it too, I’ve just always assumed that was a normal M&P thing since one of the changes to the 2.0 was to address it. I’ve never had auto-forwarding cause a malfunction, so I could see where that would be an issue if it did but that’s the only thing I understand. Worst case (assuming there’s no malfunction), you waste time swiping the slide release after its already happened which won’t hurt anything. Best case, it happens and saves you a fraction of a second and you drive on.

Mine don’t. That’s were the consistency part comes into play. I want my gun to to the same thing every time when I insert a magazine.

+1 for an extension. I am a fan of Taylor Freelance extenders.
