I bought two last summer, and at the NRA show, the reps said they’re still being imported. As you point out though, parts will eventually dry up (especially UMP demilled kits). The UMP will probably go away before the MP5 will ironically.
Interesting. So long as somebody makes a decent block and you can get UMP parts there is a market.
