    Help! Rifle light location preference?

Gents, I'm looking for a little consumer data regarding weapon light placement for a product we're working on. Question is simple: at what location on your rifle hand guard do you run your weapon light? Excluding 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock from the poll because they're irrelevant for our purposes. Please feel free to comment below if the answer is "it depends", but also select your most common or preferred location for the sake of data.

    Thank you!

    Nick

Always at the 10 or 11 o'clock position... across the board. This is due to being a right handed shooter with tail cap lights set up for support hand thumb operation.

I'm left handed, place my light at 10:30 with a pressure switch at 12.

Left handed. Light on right side at 1:30 with thumb switch, or light at 10:30 with pressure switch at 12.

I prefer the 12:00 position but as it wasn’t an option I went with the left side 10:30. I’m right handed and this would give me an easy thumb on-off with my support hand. I don’t use pressure switches.

Using pressure pad/tape switch I prefer the light at about 1 o’clock with arisaka mount. No switch, I like the light at about 10/11 o’clock so I can activate with support hand thumb.

I'm right handed and primarily run Surefire M600's of some flavor at the 1:30ish position on all of my rifles with a pressure pad at 12:00. I've been slowly adding the Surefire DS00 tapeswitch/push button tail cap to all my scout lights incase the tape switch fails.

Thank you everyone for the help on this. Additional question - how many of you are running a laser at the 12 o'clock position?

I prefer 12 o'clock, but barring that, I go with left side, 10:30ish.
