I like the 1-8 VCOG I have. I agree it’s daylight visible but not nuclear bright. But since it’s a bigger Eotech type on 1x I don’t want it to be blooming. I also really like the integrated mount for military use. It’s a proven mount and it prevents dudes from messing with it. Sadly I’ve met more Star Wars nerds in the army than gun nerds. So I wouldn’t trust most dudes to actually level a scope. With the VCOG I put in the Kram spacer the smallest one and it’s like a 1.8 height. I was chasing the 1.7 like badger but the 1.8 is fine. Not too tall to be in the prone.

Trijicon has released the USMC version for commercial sales for 2022.

It has MRAD adjustments/reticle with a BDC. Looks interesting.

It is not light but that weight includes a LaRue mount and it takes an AA battery and not a coin battery.

It's not a BDC, just mils.

I thought a BDC was part of the solicitation but I guess I was wrong.

Not a big deal. "It has a BDC" is the biggest inaccuracy repeated about this optic on the internet.

It’s a MRAD tree, the marines trust to teach their dudes MILS, Army is about BDC, even with our ATACR 1-8 we got issued they made it a BDC based around 25m zero same with the sfp 1-6 sigs were a 25m BDC. I run a 1-8 vcog mrad I bought on my own on my 14.5. It’s a good optic, very clear glass and a KRAM spacer makes it clear my laser.
