    Brownell's Retro 601 green furniture

Looking at some pictures of the original 601 green-painted furniture, the Brownell's version seems quite far off in terms of matching that original color shade. I personally kind of like the newer, brighter lime-green tone in spite of the inaccuracy. For any of you folks that own this particular Retro, have you repainted or otherwise swapped out the Brownell's furniture or just left it as is?

The guy in this video painted his, and it appears to have come out well.

    And a follow up.

I'm intending to build a 601 clone of my own in the future and have collected some of the parts already. In my case I actually bought the Brownells brown stock set, with the intention of painting it the appropriate shade of green.
If you look at authentic 601 furniture, it's green paint over the original brown handguards. So you'll often see where the green has worn away, exposing the original brown color underneath. So I figured I'd get the brown furniture, paint it green, and if the paint wears off in places it'll show brown like on an actual 601.
