Best Way to Care for Rubberized Optics?

I have many pairs of binoculars- Steiners, Zeiss, Leica etc....that have rubber armoring on them. I have seen over time, especially eyepieces etc...will essentially "dry out" and crack etc.....Long term what is the best way to protect the rubber coatings and caps, eye cups etc....on this gear? I have started using Armor All Wipes on them but don't really know if that is the best solution. Is there some kind of better "rubber lube" (Don't go there...) that will help keep them from breaking down?
