Re-arsenal markings

What markings should a 1911 display if it has been re-arsenaled?

Thnx, tb-av. My particular Remington Rand has the 'FJA' inspectors mark and the 'P' behind the mag release, and crossed cannons on the right rear of the slide.
Doubtful that any of that means a rebuild.

This has been confusing for me.

I saw that website before, but it talks about arsenal markings, not RE-arsenal markings. (edited to add, "ah, I see there are three examples shown")

I'm trying to find out if a 1943 parkerized 1911 a1 someone I know has was parkerized by the DoD or a private company.

Don't confuse the arsenal rebuild markings with the inspectors marks which were put on new guns accepted by the govt. and a P means it was tested with a proof round.

Arsenal Rebuild Marks:

AA = Augusta Arsenal
AN = Anniston Arsenal
BA = Benecia Arsenal
MR = Mt Rainer Ordinance Depot
OG = Ogden Arsenal
RA = Raritan Arsenal
RIA = Rock Island Arsenal
RRA = Red River Arsenal
SA = Springfield Arsenal
SAA = San Antonio Arsenal

"Re-arsenaled" is not a term. Arsenal rebuild or overhaul would be the correct term.

Normally, the arsenal stamp is going to be on the frame near the trigger guard, but there is not always a stamp applied.

FJA, P and crossed cannons are proof or inspection/acceptance markings applied to the pistol when new.

So, did the DoD ever have blued 1911's parkerized?

I know of an originally blued 1943 1911 that is now parkerized. I see no rebuild marks.

Very, very little wear, no rebuild markings, blued gun now parkerized.

So, yea, I guess there is no way to tell who did it.
