I got pretty excited when I learned that PRI made a gas buster charging handle for the 901. The excitement waned when my handle arrived. PRI did not change any of the geometry of their charging handle on the backend to account for the 901’s taller charging handle. As a result there is a gap between the top of the lower and the bottom of the charging handle. You can watch the carrier key move back and forth with the rifle shouldered. It won’t be busting gas anytime soon.

Not sure if PRI intends to resolve the issue but an RMA was easy to get.

That sucks. Hopefully they’ll do something to remedy that in the future.

Ran my Marc 901 in a 3gun match. I was technically in practical division because I ran a semi auto shotgun instead of a pump for heavy division but I took 14th out of 39 running my colt 901 and single stack 45acp colt combat unit. With a Surefire brake it feels like a normal carbine length 5.56 with a bird cage. I’m running another match with it but this time in heavy division so just one hit on paper targets instead of 2 but it should be a lot of fun. Felt good beating guys with tricked out race guns and I got a big heavy 308.

I had my CM762 out today - shooting at clean steel at 100 yards and every round was hammering at the same spot with PPU M80 145gr on clean white steel. After one mag of 20 rounds, I swapped my extra Colt CCU upper (from Brownells - I swapped rails with my 6920-R Trooper) with Aimpoint Pro and 3X-C on it and shot 40 rounds of PPU M193 through it with zerio issues before switching back to the CM762 upper and shooting some more PPU M80 through it.

I was just thinking this. I came across the Owners manual for yours at my house, and thought about the 308 version.

I was looking through my account at Classic Firearms and saw the total $1385 delivered.

    I wish I had bought another 308 and a 6.5CM version.

I want one so bad. I'm kicking myself for not buying one when there were plenty to be found.

I feel for ya. I hemmmed and hawwed about it for a couple of weeks - because at first everyone was like "WTF, $1400 for Colt 308 AR? That can't be". There were pretty much zero reviews on the new models CM762/CM65. But eventually I broke and was glad I did.

In retrospect I should have bought 2 CM762s for $1400 and 4 Colt 6920-R Troopers when they could be found for $650... both were "That can't be real - there must be a catch to these...." situations.

I couldn't find shit on them either. I was trying to study up on them, then said Fck it, pulled the trigger.
