So to be clear, you are using a H3 buffer (longer that the 308 buffer) with a LMT (carbine?) action spring in the OEM RE?

That kit I linked is the kit I purchased.

Seems easy enough to test then, I'll just have to try out an A5 receiver extension with an H3 carbine (not A5) buffer from some of my other rifles
edit: not sure which spring to use, though
edit 2: ah, 308 rifle buffer spring. don't have one yet

I use the A5 kit on my HK MR556 along with their heavy buffer. Check out HeavyBuffers.com for that set up.

Looks like the Canadians and the Danes are buying Colt Canada’s C20 for their militaries. It really is a shame that we can’t get the Colt Canada stuff here.

Hopefully that means that Colt USA picks back up with their 308 and 6.5mm guns soon.

My LE901 MARC unexpectedly became my favorite 308 that I own. So much so I ran down a Colt LE6945 upper to go along with it. I would love a second. I am developing an unsavory fetish for the monolithic colts.

Yeah, those were the good old days last summer! I wish I had bought 5 of them! Along with 5 6920-R Troopers for $750!
