I doubt we’ll see them at 1400. Lol. Itd be awesome though. Surprisingly though, not a whole lot of people know about these. Thats kinda good for us. Lol.

I looked at my order again, $1357 + $23 shipping for the Colt CM762-16S last summer.
I wish we could get the 20in SASS version like the Canadians have. I would be happy to get some replacement parts like gas rings, extractors, bolts, and firing pins from colt for these.
Indeed. I'm pretty good for parts, all things considered. I didn't get a bolt or BCG, but I have and extractor / ejector / bunch of springs and other pins / small parts. Some OEM Buffer spring replacements, bolt catch, etc. All from Brownells when they had them - wish I had gotten a barrel, they had them for not much more that $200 if I recall correctly.
Not sure if AR10 rings fit; I bought a set of Springco gas rings to check next time I have it apart.
My local GS has a brand new LE901-16s priced at $2,400.00. It’s been banging around on their shelf since 2014, and they will not budge on the price. I have a feeling it will be there in another six years. It’s too bad, because I really want it. I think it would make a perfect battle rifle.
Hammer, what are these supposed to be priced ?
$2,400 seems a bit high, especially when you consider they sold for $1,400 a year ago. Keep in mind these sat around unsold until Colt drastically slashed prices.
Ultimately it should be priced at what the market will bear, which obviously isn’t $2,400.00. Otherwise it wouldn’t have sat on the shelf for 6 years getting blemished, and collecting a rather thick layer of dust. I’d bring it home if it was priced below $1,600.00. If you think it’s worth what they are asking, give Gunnies in Orem UT a call, they’ll probably ship out to your dealer.

Yes at that price you could just about buy a DD or LMT. I don't think Colt ever sold the 901's for $1,400 but I could be wrong. I thought just that batch of CM's. Still not worth $2,400 plus tax.

Yeah LE901s never went that low, hence they reason they didn't sell well at $2k+ with the very strong competition from DD / LMT / etc.
Some of the AR901s (LE901s with a tube handguard) went for sub $2K, but only the CM762 were blown out low <$1500.
Obviously it's the gunshops decision to keep likely $1.5-2K of cash equity sitting on a wall for years.
