It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Probably pretty successful.

Everyone thinks Switzerland is like this gun utopia with dudes casually just traipsing about with Assault Rifles all day.

lol no. Its like any other Eurocuck nation where guns are an expensive hobby and nobody is gee wow about your new gun.

America is the only country where people care about: your new gun, your favorite anime, or your pokemon collection.

Everywhere else gets you weird stares and condescension.

America is literally the only country where some dude in a 4x4 truck might pop you with an AR-15 if you are out clowning on a fit.

I dont see Swiss Banker man whipping out a 553 and laying the pain on Ahab the Arab. And everyone needs to get this myth outta their heads that the Swiss have this "citizen army" No. Even your dumbest, fattest, stupidest, laziest, differently abled US Soldier could outfight pretty much anyone over there thats a conscript.

Because the culture is different. America is weird in that we are spoiled and degenerate and outta shape but yet we dont mind turning up on folks or starting a ruckus or showing our color in public.

I like SAN and B&T and maybe that Swiss Miss cocoa but beyond that...the Swiss dont impress me as a "gun country".

That's why I live in a Confederate state. If you want a nation that literally has a gun culture...you're already here.

Anyways, Switzerland is a small, inbred nation of Socialist Eurobankers.
What did any of you expect?

I'm gonna disagree, not because I think Switzerland is like Israel where LOTS of people are walking around armed and willing to use it, but because unlike France, Switzerland is still a mostly homogeneous population with a set of enforced social standards. Been there twice, know more than a few people who live there and even I stand out like a sore thumb.

I don't think the guys with slung PE90s are gonna get Rambo when the shooting starts, but I think Allah Snackbar would stick out like a bunch of Somali's at a Ayumi Hamasaki concert in Tokyo. I don't think they'd be able to set up without coming under intense scrutiny and I think if they went hot Detachment 10 would be set up and waiting. So yeah, they would get zipped by a bunch of guys with SAN rifles.

Switzerland doesn't tolerate crips, bloods or MS13 and it isn't because some guy in the Apple store has a Swiss rifle slung because he has to report for qualifications.

The problem is because of their past posture, Switzerland hasn't had to fight a bloody war and I think people there forget why that is. Sure hope they don't have to learn it the hard way. Their "neutral" posture keeps them off of "Ollie Akbars" Top 10 list for the most part, but everyone having a rifle and ammo at home kept a lot of other people from violating their borders as well.

When is the last time you have been?

Plus lol homogenous. They keep things in okayish order but they are essentially a trilingual nation with cantons like small 'states' each being different. Plus they been getting more and more "diverse"

I saw Europe pre-9/11. It was not bad. Never been back and wouldnt spend my own money to do so. Nothing remains static.

Still I award you points for Ayu Hamasaki

ETA. This Section 8ing ogf the world will end badly and in an entirely radicalized manner I assure you. I don't condone it but when one year your neighborhood is quiet and then the next year it is full of people unlike you, with ways you dont jibe with, being loud and causing trouble....yeah. that tends to rub people raw.

Everyone brings up "white flight" and...let's just keep it real here...what do you think is going to happen when there is nowhere left to fly to?

People need to go back to respecting borders and boundries. I dont mind neighbors (provided they keep to themselves), but I dont want houseguests.

If all these 'migrants' are so awesome, why arent they making their own countries great?

Again, the Section 8 of the world needs to end

No its not. I was there in 2017 on the German side. Is about as euro-cuck as every other place in europe. You have store your awesome Sig 550 in a lockbox and are only to take it to and from the range. Its def not like Israel where the IDF guys and gals can go to the supermarket with their vintage Colt 651 like it was cool.

My point was that the article suggests
people disarmed because their govt told them too. That point should be irrelevant and a red flag to a free people. That’s the problem.

Having just spent the past week in Switzerland—Firefly you are incorrect. They are PISSED that the EU basically forced them down this path. Right now you can pretty much just drive across the borders in most of the EU. They would have setup checkpoints and started searching cars traversing Switzerland. You need to get out of the major cities to see Swiss gun culture. The hills are alive with gunshots when you get about 30 minutes outside any major city. They are VERY proud to be Swiss, even the most ardent MAGA hat wearing individual would have a tough time comparing their love of country to damn near every Swiss person you meet. They also tend to be far more fit than typical Americans and can run up Jungfrau like its flat. Switzerland ****ing rocks.

They aren’t being disarmed, the article is misleading. It’s more like NFA paperwork.

The paperwork eventually leads to confiscation.

The Swiss are indifferent to most things, guns being no different. It's also more like the Articles of Confederation USA than a federal USA, so you have to understand that. Cantons are responsible for a lot more than states are in the U.S.
