    fixing cheap binoculars

I have a pair of cheap Simmons 10x binoculars that my mother bought for me. I want to give them to my 10 year old. However the image is slightly doubled and no matter what I try to do it doesn't get better. Is this something easily fixable on my end or should I just trash them?

I had a couple of pair of binos that got out of wack, I just took them apart and use them as monocular's. Of course they were individual focus, don't suppose you can do this with center focus.

Toss them. Look for a set of Bushnell 7 x 35s which are actually pretty fair for the money and will take abuse. When it comes to binoculars you get what you pay for.
A really good set will last you a lifetime.
