+1 for Frank Glenn. He has worked on several S&Ws and a Python for me.

Thanks for the replies, has anyone sent theirs to Smith and Wesson directly for repairs lately?

Wow. He was a real character, and a hell of a gunsmith. Sad news.

The loss of Mr Reichard at Sand Burr Gun Ranch was a blow to all us wheelgun lovers.

A very big thumbs up regarding Frank Glenn. I have two custom revolvers from him. A friend who is a very serious nationally-known S&W collector recommends him without reservation.

And by very serious - I mean being able to fill up the bed of a full-sized pickup with pistol boxes. I know, I helped upload it.

I would call S&W and if they have the parts to replace it I would let them do it.

Thanks for all the help, I'm sending it to Frank as I might as well get an action job while I'm at it.
