Trijicon sights for Rem 11-87 Police?

Picked up a nice 11-87 Police at a really good price, complete impulse buy. Are Trijicon sights worth picking up for this gun?

ETA: it’s a SBS with the 14” rifle sight barrel.

I wouldn't do it but I don't care for any sights on a shotgun. I would invest in a high quality light first. Glow in the dark sights do nothing for target ID.

I forgot to ask... How long does it take to get a SBS stamp these days?

Form 4 was right at 9 mos.

Based on using fiber optics on a rifle sighted 20", I would vote on just the front sight being really useful.

I suspect(but have not tried) the XS low profile 870 set up would be neat, but would likely require a new barrel. I think this is an 18.5", but they also make it in a 14".

Thanks for the replies. Since this gun is really only for range fun, I’m going resist my natural impulse to upgrade everything and leave it as is.

I gave a police trade in that came with a fairly new set of Trijicon rifled sites. I’m not sure I would buy them myself but I do like them and I’m glad there on my 1187p
