I've noticed that Aero complete AR's don't seem to include the front sling swivel. Not sure why that is.

DS Arms has also thrown their hat in the "Retro" ring with their Service Series A4. Although this particular model is an HBAR, so the Aero rifle would be more of an accurate representation. DS Arms does have the front sling swivel, though.

With the M5 RAS along with a heavy barrel, this thing is REALLY weighty.

I built my A4 clone with a PSA premium kit with a colt carry handle I had. Great rifle with zero issues, eventually got a M5 rail set in a trade.

DSA sounds more like it's built for Service Rifle competitions than as a true fighting rifle--according to Sweeney, HBAR A4-clones are big on the SR circuit.

Sounds about right. Brownell's lists the weight at 6.5 pounds, but I've got a feeling it's way heavier than that. I noticed that DSA doesn't list the weight at all - don't want to alarm any potential buyers

Do you have room for another safe?

...You talked me into it. Looks like a nice rendition of the M16A4. I'll say this for Aero Precision - you get the basics. No rear sight, no front sling swivel, no magazine. Not even a manual. I guess they figure that most folks will use a side mounted sling on the rail. I'm kind of old school so I put a front swivel and rivet on order.
