If anybody is going to be the first to try it with humans, I give the edge to the Chinese (if they haven't done it already).

As much as there is a reason to fear genetically modified humans there is a reason to look forward to gene therapy to reverse Diabetes, Cancer, Allergies, and other maladies that effect humans.

Seems a waste of time and energy to be. An 80# German Shepherd is bad ass without genetic engineering.

I think artificial breeding actually originated as some dude that was either a pillar of the community and/or could BS their way out of anything getting caught molesting animals and science was the excuse they spouted off.
