Tannerite never fails to get a smile, even out of old farts. My 75 y.o. dad loves it.

That would make a much more interesting day.

A lightweight with a CMC trigger will have him giggling like a schoolgirl.

    Ask me how I know

A lightweight rifle with a good trigger makes me giggle like a school girl.

Shooting steel is great for young, old, and everyone in between. The instant hit or miss feedback is delightful. I've had first time shooter's faces absolutely light up when they ring steel. That almost never happens with paper targets (because the results come later) unless shooting for precision.

Just refrain from slapping it on a riding lawn mower or refrigerator.

Ear protection and hear protection are a must! I wear eyeglasses, so I paid extra for shatter resistent lenses, too. Therefore, my glasses do double duty.

My Uncle wants to shoot an AR15.

Have to be careful with steel. We were 25yds out and a piece of our target fractured and embedded in my shin. Didn't even realize it at first. It was very small and didn't hurt. BUT it made me realize just how important eye protection should be. It very easily could have turned out differently. GOD certainly looked out for me that day.
