I got that too. Deceptive language to get you to open envelope. If you read carefully, the expiration is the opportunity to save on upgrading to the next level of life membership and to gift annual memberships.

I got the instructor letter. I didn't open it yet, like most mail I get from the NRA.

No upgrades here... as soon as my Life is paid off in seven months, my money goes to SAF if they'll do an Installment Life at around thirty bucks a month. After that's paid off GOA. After that, if NRA's cleaned up their act MAYBE we'll talk.

Sure would be nice if they'd make Instructor classes more widely available...

Sadly. It's a shame the Cox coup wasn't more successful. They guy did more in a day than Pe Pe Le Pew did in a year. When Brownell walked away it showed something was very wrong.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

Ditto Selleck before him. Too bad the guys like Knox and Dean Speir couldn't fix Wayne's little red wagon in Cleveland so many years ago... most of the byzantine bylaws were his response to that oh-so-close-to-success coup.

I agree with these guys on what changes should happen within the NRA.

How long will it take for NRA to realize that Wayne LaPierre needs to go?

I vowed never to be a member again as long as he holds office in that organization.

Wayne is the NRA. He's amassed enough power and surrounded himself with enough supporters to keep his seat as long as he wants it. Recent events prove that, like Trump he can get away with anything and push out anyone that challenges him.

Until the leadership is cleaned out, the NRA can go F themselves.

Tale as old as time. The writing on the wall for me with the NRA was during the 2012 campaign. I get that the Alex Jones-type stuff appeals to a certain set of members, but not me.

Lapierre as Trump is not a good comparison, because I genuinely believe Trump's primary motivation is not protecting some little fiefdom he created politically. Lapierre has turned the organization itself into his own cult of personality and has convinced at least a large number of NRA supporters that he is the face of fighting for 2A rights. You may not like what Trump does/says, but he is at least authentically Trump. That's all most voters care about - authenticity. Lapierre may have people convinced he's the best protector of 2A rights, but if anyone bothered to scrutinize that, they'd find the most inauthentic POS.
