My reliability upgrades for the AR-15:

    A. BCM large latch ambi charging handle: IMproves charging and extraction
    B. Toolcraft Nickel Boron BCG: reduces corrosion and easier to clean
    C. Strike industries extended rear take down pin: FN-FAL -style push pushbutton simple to clean and maintain riflr
    D. Hex mag G2: works like a charm in my M&P 15 sport 2.

    With my M&P 15 Sport 2.

I see that you're new here. Your post above isn't how we do business. Tell us why you think why the changes you've made to your rifle are "reliability upgrades". As it stands, there is nothing to discuss as nothing you've listed a adds to reliability.

I have to side with the other guys and say that there is nothing listed that will improve reliability. Frankly, I do not see why you changed out the BCG. I can see if you were doing a new build and wanted a NiB BCG, but not replacing a current BCG that works. As far as the HexMag goes, they are really not an reliability improvement, especially when compared to PMAGs, Lancers, Troy Battlemags, USGI metal mags, and a several others.

My reliability upgrades for the AR-15:

Maybe this makes YOUR rifle more reliable, but nothing here makes an AR system more reliable. The BCM CH is the only thing of merit to me on this list but it’s a preference, not a reliability, upgrade.

I won’t touch nickel boron, nor strike industries, nor hexmag from experience and/or reports from many users.

Hang out on the forum a while and you’ll see better what makes a rifle reliable and the difference between needs and wants. Welcome to M4C.
