What Geissele Trigger are Your Running Your AR-10 and Why?

So, I've been spending some time reading over all my options with Geissele Triggers and my head is kind of spinning. I'd like to hear from guys who are using Geissele triggers in their AR-10s and which model they chose to use and why. (Not interested in hearing about other triggers, just Geissele, thanks).

I have an SSA in mine and pretty much all of my other rifles. It's an uncomplicated, high-quality trigger that I know well and can expect, and produce repeatable results from. I don't need adjustments complicating my FCG; I want it to feel and act the same every pull.

I'm kind of leaning toward the SSA-E since my use will be in my LMT .308, precision shooting, from the bench,or prone off a bipod.

OP, what are you planning on doing with the rifle? Also, what's your budget?

I'm building two 308 ARs right now. One is a basic 16" carbine setup and will initially have an ALG ACT in it. This is essentially a budget Geissele trigger. After the next Black Friday sale it will likely be upgraded to an SSA.

The 2nd build will have a Geissele SSA-E and will be an 18" build thats more of a longer range, precision setup.

Anymore for all my AR builds my trigger selection goes like this:
Budget Home Defense/Combat = ALG ACT
    Home Defense/Combat = SSA
    Hunting/Precision = SSA-E

They build fantastic, smooth, consistent triggers that just work.

Per comment #3 I'm kind of leaning toward the SSA-E since my use will be in my LMT .308, precision shooting, from the bench,or prone off a bipod.

Seems like you are thinking the same thing I am. My LMT MWS has a 20" SS barrel and will, hopefully by the third week in July, have a Nightforce NX8 2.5-20 scope. I took it out yesterday to compare several different commercially loaded match ammo, I had several Lapua SCENAR rounds and a box of Federal GMM in 175 SMK. I was using the stock LMT two stage, #5 second stage (felt even heavier) and just an Aimpoint Comp M5 with 3X mag, but I got a group of seven shots into a 1.5" white dot at 100 yards, with four of them stacked one on top of another in a .5" group. So..I'm expecting great results with the optic and the better trigger.

SSA-E seems like a great choice.

I have a SD-E and and SSA-E on two rifles. My only issue is that they hover around 3lbs. This may or may not be a good thing depending on your application.

Geissele offerers springs sets and I just ordered the SSA set. According to their CS this will get me the pull weight of the SSA while maintaining the cleaner break of the E series triggers.

My application is precision rifle shooting, benchrested mostly/mainly, some prone from Bipod. Not going into combat anytime soon, as far as I know.

I have two SSA-E for precision rigs in 5.56. Very happy with them. They are predictable and the pull weight works great for general use precision work.
