    Chassis for Tikka T3x LH

I'm looking at chassis for a Tikka T3x LH, in addition to being left-handed my requirements are it must use AICS magazines and have a fully adjustable, folding stock. An AR compatible stock and grip would be a nice option, but not a requirement.

I've been looking at the Cadex Defense Lite Strike but would like to get some opinions on other available options, hopefully with smaller price tags.

    TIA for any pointers.

    Short action?

If so, the MDT ESS Chassis is available with a folding stock as an option. They offer several styles and lengths of handguard, including carbon fiber. Right now it looks like LH chassis core's are only available in black (handguard and buttstock can be had in FDE), but you may be able to contact them about ordering (or back-ordering) a chassis core in FDE. They are nice, solid chassis and retail for about 1/2 of what the Cadex costs. I have a buddy with one (Howa action) and it's a quality piece of equipment.

The MDT folder is reversible, so you can set it up to fold to either side. Here's a link to the page to order a custom ESS that allows you to select the handguard and buttstock you prefer:

And a pic of a LH Tikka in an ESS w Folder:

    MDT LSS XL Gen 2
    XLR Element or Carbon

An important thing to note with Tikka actions and AICS mags: you CANNOT use Magpul or other polymer AICS mags, the actions are not cut right right for that. Your options are to try to modify the mags themselves (usually people are not successful), have a smith make cuts in the action (usually not a great idea), or just live with the metal AICS mags (recommended).

That's the plan, I just prefer the AICS mags to Tikka's and maybe someday I'll get an AI.

I have an MDT LSS-XL for mine. It is beautiful. I believe they make a left hand model.

Yep that's true. Both of the ones I listed come in LH models, with folding option available, for Tikka.

If interested in the XLR, they definitely have a folding option and you have to be on the right page to select that and other options to 'build' your chassis. Here are links to the customization pages for the Element, and the Carbon (personally I prefer the Carbon, lighter and looks nicer, but more $$).
