It's rapidly becoming one of my favorites. :-) Lots of lurking.
U.S. Army vet. -- Retired 25 year LEO.
I live where it gets really cold w/lots of snow, sometimes for 6 months of the year.
My favorite Colt is a stock WW1 Belleau Wood Commemorative, 230gr ball in
Wilson 7rd mag, it has never malfunctioned.
That has been my experience. Mine is going on two years since being broken down and cleaned.. and it does get shot I'm just outta .38 Super Auto right now. Gotta convert the reloader from 9mm to super some time when I have time.. But right now I'm having fun with my new SIG P-210 American so 9mm it is !

My first center fire pistol was a Colt Series 70 Govt. model back in 1975. Wish I still had that one.
Started out carrying a 1911 5" that I built. After a while went to carrying J-Frames. Now back to 1911's. Own plenty of other "modern" semi autos, but find myself carrying one of the half dozen 1911's that I own. Hey, wait a minute, I only have six 1911's? I need to remedy that!

My 1911 turned 21 this year and it is still my favorite pistol!
