Aimpoint ML vs M and LaRue mounts

Relative newbie here looking for some advice.

I notice that the ML series is a bit cheaper than the M series. What would be the major difference between the two?

Also, which would be the appropriate LaRue mount if I wanted to add a 3x magnifier down the road? Do I need a high or low mount? What about the standard mount vs the cantilever mount.

    TIA

The M series is night vision compatible. The ML series is not.

You would probably want to the LaRue Cantilever Mount (LT129).

Go with the ML3 unless you plan on using night vision or diving. If that's the case you may also want to look at the C3 for a lower cost option.

The "low mount" will put your iron sights in the center of the optic. The high will put them in the lower 1/3 of the optic. Most seem to prefer the lower 1/3(high mount).I dont notice much of a difference either way.

I prefer the cantilever even without a magnifier, but im pretty sure its a must with one.
