    The struggle is real:

What if this whole crusade's a charade?
And behind it all there's a price to be paid
For the blood which we dine

I’ll bet those damn robots are assembled exclusively with 10mm nuts and bolts.

It’s nice that these robots can scout and do stuff like that, but Pfc. ****knuckles loses his NODS way more often than he sees the enemy. So it would be awesome if the robots can search for missing gear, that way Pfc. ****knuckles can enjoy his weekend of getting stupid tattoos, marrying a stripper, buying a car at 25% APR, and then getting a DUI on the way back to the post.
So the army will simply attach trackable RFID's to every piece of gear.

Nope. That would be a big problem allowing easy tracking of US forces by a near peer adversary.

Spread a bunch of unassociated RFIDs like leaflets and search for the one associated with the piece of missing gear. You can then use the RFIDs as a bombing range after the missing gear has been picked up but before the peer adversary leaves the area.

We know the Army is working with autonomous platforms with weapons but unlike Russia there will be some human decision making chain in employing the weapon. This has been employed in Shotguns on remote controlled robots.

Inevitably the robots will have enough AI that they will emulate their Pfc. platoon mates by losing gear, marrying strippers, and buying Mustangs for $10K over market value at 25% APR. I’m not sure how a robot can get a DUI, but they’ll find a way.

When caught DUI does the po-po lock up the robot in a cell or the tow lot?

Not sure, going to some confused cops in Oceanside, CA and Jacksonville, NC for sure.

It's all fun and games until their batteries give out.
