Aimpoint T1 thread damage repair

I have the same issue with a PA clone. Debating either doing this or just locktighting it in as its going on a range gun.

Did you ream out the hole smooth first or just rethread through the threads already there?

Negative on the reaming. I figured stepping up to m4 screw didn’t require a lot of material removed and I didn’t want to risk drilling through the bottom on the optic.

Thanks. Same thread pitch? Doesnt look like the same is offered m4 vs m3. I guess it doesnt matter?

Yea doesn’t matter. The tap I used was .070 pitch.
