Fear not. The market has already provided.

And they’re the original Bushmaster too.

That’s the rumor. I’m more sad about the ACR stock going away than anything. It’s a fantastic aftermarket stock for Scars, Bren’s, scorpions, etc. I know Magpul makes it but I’m sure the design is owned by Remington. Hopefully they can rebrand it or tweak it enough to produce it.
    I paint spaceship parts.

But still doesn’t make sense if Remington (Freedom Group) is discontinuing the bushmaster brand then it looks like all the ACR’s would be on close out prices, not just the DMR version.

The only reason Remington would have to discontinue the Bushmaster and DPMS lines would be to get out of the business of making ARs.

Otherwise, those eeevil AR-15s Bushmaster has been making that have been in the news will become eeevil AR-15s made by Remington and Remington's brand value will be poisoned by the negative PR (and Remington really needs its brand value hit more negatively by bad PR).

I remember when Para USA was supposed to get folded into Remington and, as far as I can recall, that never happened, so...

I guess that’s true, the newer guns are in the 1700-1800.00 on buds and the factory SBRs are 2200.00.

I picked up my ACR DMR today.

It is a heavy beast. Interestingly, the serial number starts with CMP.

Let me know how it shoots Bret. My five shot groups average about an inch. I think that’s pretty damn good for a semi auto piston gun.

What are you considering for an optic?

And yes, that's a cool serial number.

I'd be plenty satisfied with one inch groups.

I have a Trijicon AccuPower 1-4x24 that doesn't have a home. I'll see how it shoots with that. If the accuracy is really good, I'll probably move up to something with some more power.
