I have the PL-2. The difference is the rechargeability on the PRO, the PL-2 uses CR123's and the available alternate 300 lumen capabliity for indoor use option and can use a magnetic tape switch option also.
I like it. It is plenty bright, no problems with it, ambi, simple to use, and the QD lever makes it easy to take on and off. You just missed the sale they had. They were going for 20% off at $103.96. THe PL-2 was going for $59.97.
If you are in no rush, they have flash sales every couple months or so and I try my best to post them here.
