Cool Muzzle Device for 10.5" 7.62x39?

I ordered a Alpha Shooting Sports 10.5 CHF nitride upper. It was overcast and raining rather dark at the range last Sunday. It was supposed to come with an A2 flash hider. It came with a thread protector. Big orange white flames! At least 12-18" in diameter! A2? It works good on my 16" AR47's. I am wanting to go as cheap as possible. I am going to research my Kaw Valley linear that I put on my AR40. I didn't like the flash signature at all.

Our BRT Covert Comp is an excellent choice for short barrels.

It does a nice job reducing both blast and flash, something most other linear type devices fall short on.

Does it need to be indexed?

    No, indexing is not required.

I talked my brother into getting a BRT Covert Comp for his 11.5" shorty. It works. Concussion gets pushed down range and flash is almost completely eliminated. Even at dusk, the flash was hard to see. If I didn't have suppressors on my shorties, they'd be equipped with Covert Comps. I have no connections with BRT other than being a satisfied customer of their Micro Ports.
