    Proposed Body Armor Restrictions

Chuck Schumer will introduce legislation to regulate body armor. I know armor has been on the left's radar for a while now, but why, really?

Obviously, public safety is not the reason - the public is not threatened by passive protection. I would think the safety of private citizens who slip on a vest as part of dressing for work in high risk jobs or areas would far outweigh a handful of disturbed young men whose murderous rampages were cut short regardless of any armor worn.

As always exceptions when what we really need is equal application of all laws.

Because politicians like to build bridges where there are no rivers?

It goes along with the thought process that "SOMETHING!" has to be done, regardless of how asinine it actually is. He can point to the voters and say "Look, we tried SOMETHING and it failed because of Trump/GOP stonewalling/the NRA/insert group to blame here."

Next up, let's make mandatory background checks on those wishing to purchase MOLLE gear!

Why would someone who's constantly arguing that deadly force be limited to the state want to regulate citizens purchasing body armor?

    Rhetorical question?
