It strikes me that decent body armor is already restricted for sale to civilians buy the manufacturer and or retailers as is.

It seems the crappy steel body armor is what is pedaled to civilians and professionals would never touch such a thing.

As some one lad said it’s about cops being able to kill you easily.

To the left and to the statists the individual has no value. They are expendable for the ‘greater good’

They want people to go down when police shoot them.

Many states prohibit ex convicts from wearing body armor for this reason.

    Australia prohibits everybody.

    1) FCC is cracking down and banning the import of FRS-band radios starting 9/30/19.
    2) “Red Flag Laws” are gaining traction.
    3) Proposals for further restrictions on private acquisition of body armor.

It’s almost like there’s a 20-30 year plan in motion.

    Hold up

We just need to come to the table and be reasonable with these folks.

Because if you can't actively protect yourself with a firearm, you certainly shouldn't passively protect yourself with body armor.

    NODs will be next.
Then “High Power Sniper Scopes” because no honest hunter would make a humane harvest with more than a 10X optic.

I thought I read that the El Paso shooter was wearing armor. Anyway, my state already makes it a felony for a felon to possess body armor and to commit a forcible felony while wearing body armor. As far as I know l, over the last 5 years, there has been one case where this law was applied - a gang banger killed a police commander while wearing body armor last year. My point is, it’s pointless - just more “feel-good” legislation.

I completely oppose any notion of "disarming the serfs", obviously, but somehow, "make sure the serfs stay easily killable by the agents of The Crown" manages to come across as even slimier and more statist. Schumer has really outdone himself.
