Odd question about exposed fat tissue

This is certainly not a big deal, but I thought I would ask for opinions. I have a small wound to the palm of my hand (dog bite) and there is a pea sized blob of what I assume to be fat cells leaking out. Should I cut it off, stuff it back in, or just say F-it and leave it alone with a bandaid on it?

Just don't recall having this problem before with a small wound and thought I would ask. Currently taking the F-it with a bandaid route.

Consult a physician in your area and follow their recommendations. Don't mess with animal bites. Don't mess with injuries to the hands and feet.

Getting medical advice on the internet, even on an internet gun forum, can be hazardous to your health.

St911- thanks but no doc today.

Hmac - true enough, just curious.

I've had plenty of experience with holes in my hide, including having inside bits being on the outside. Just wondered what SOP might be for this minor owwie. Turns out it shrivels up into part of the scab.

You could cut it off, just make sure you keep the wound clean and apply an antibiotic ointment on a regular basis and keep an eye out for infection.

Until you can see a physician.

You might need antibiotics. Dog bites can be nasty.

Since the OP hasn't responded about the outcome from 8/11/19, I can only assume that he has passed on to the big dog bite in the sky. RIP utahjeepr!
