Seriously...I have some really nice stuff and I have some some really budget stuff. IS there a difference? SURE. Is there anything wrong with an inexpensive PSA Freedom rifle? Not really as long as it runs and meets your needs.

No matter what your experiences are, you can't deny that PSA has filled a void in the market that was ripe for the taking and have made millions along the way. They've armed nearly every trailer park, mountain holler, section 8 apartment complex, and fixed income senior citizen with AR15 rifles and pistols and they've managed to put out products that mostly work, and the ones that don't could be fixed if the person has a few of the right tools and a Youtube connection. That's not to say that only poor people have purchased PSA's, but I'd wager it's the vast majority of their customers.

...and you know what, good for them. Poor people need to be armed to.

Exactly my point, PSA has a target market, the folks you reference are it.

You care WAY too much about this subject, and my opinion

lol. Sure thing. You can touch yourself later while thinking about it.

I guess you can say when. Settle down and knock it off

    My PSA lower is good.
I sold my last PSA upper and BCG last weekend.

As someone else mentioned, I spend money on cool rifles (not KAC, but not PSA) but don’t get to shoot a ton. I respect the person that gets a PSA and learns to use it. And I want every holler and Section 8 apt to have a PSA, because that’s one more person who doesn’t want her right infringed, and that makes her my friend.

If that’s the best that can be purchased, I would venture to say they have sold more uppers and lowers than just about any other low tier brand, and it seems like a waste to purchase anything else less than a Colt at $900. I still recommend the M&P Sport II, but PSA seems to do just fine.

    Mrgunsngear,

    Thanks for the review.

    -----------

Speaking of... looks like PSA is addressing some past complaints.

All PSA barrels are now dimpled to allow easier indexing and installation as well as a more secure fit of aftermarket gas blocks.

All PSA PA-15 lower receivers will feature castle nuts which are properly torqued to mil-spec standards and twice staked in order to ensure a secure attachment.

PSA Gen2 railed uppers will come with M-Lok rail systems featuring anti-slip set screws which interface with the barrel nut resulting in a secure hold and prevents any chance of slippage.

All Gen2 PA-15 models will come equipped with a Toolcraft bolt carrier group.

While I'm glad they're addressing this, it shouldn't have taken until August 2019 for them to stake castle nuts, dimple barrels and provide some type of anti rotation on their rails. People have been complaining about this for as long as they've been making AR parts. They should have came out like "Yeah sorry fam for not performing the most basic preventative measures for the past 10 years but we got you covered now, anybody with a slippy rail or loose castle nut hit us up for a free sticker."

I've got 3 kids. First two are boys. 13 year old recently competed in the State Swim meet. Did pretty good. 10 year old is a Karate Student and likes to tournament fight, does well. Both those have tournaments that require overnight stays. Have a 4 year old little girl that does dance, also like riding 4 wheelers and tractors and she thinks she runs the show. Went the home school route because I saw the socialist agenda in public schools from first hand working there.

So I have Colts and have some value line rifles. PSA does fill a nitch, have to balance my funds.

Completely agreed. That being said, every PSA lower i've bought over the last 2 years (4 if i remember correctly) came with the castle nut properly staked. And a couple of those were almost 2 years ago. Maybe i'm an exception? Either way, all of this should have been mainstream for them from the get go

Both of my daughters were in the pool year round from the time they were seven. It was well worth it.

That's the problem. For every guy like yourself who has received a lower with a properly staked castle nut, there's one or more that received theirs unstaked and not even torqued properly. They don't have consistent methods. If you don't want to stake anything and leave it up to the end user to decide if they want to, fine, but be consistent.

You know what has kept me buying Colt and BCM products over the years? Consistency. Every lower, every upper, every barrel that I've purchased has been built with the same quality over and over. Everything is staked properly, assembled properly, and performs how I expect. I know that both have had bad products slip through, as documented on this site and others, but when I order a Colt or BCM part I know those problems that people have had are the exception and not the rule. There is no rule with PSA, it's whatever quality the individual putting it together felt like that day, some days it's acceptable and some days it's shit.

To make matters worse, I get on Facebook last night, and there's Chad Wylie of PSA talking shit to people who are pointing out PSA issues in a private group. It was probably 3am drunk posting, but it certainly didn't portray him or PSA in a positive manner. He even took jabs at SOLGW. Imagine being a company who makes maybe/maybe not in spec meme lowers who just figured out in 2019 that you might want to incorporate proven methods into your building routine, and then take jabs at SOLGW because some random dudes are saying things online.
