    Bolt not stripping round

Need some help here. If my bolt is locked back it will strip a round every time from any magazine. If I manually pull the bolt back and release, the bolt will override those magazines every time. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, it is a 20” barrel, with A2 stock and all GI parts

    That is an unusual malfunction.

Is this a factory gun or parts gun?

What brand of upper / lower receiver?

Are you sure you are pulling the charging handle all the way back?

The upper is from White Oak and the lower is Olympic Arms. I had always dropped the bolt from a locked position and then one day tried to go from a closed bolt changing handle pull and it did an override. I even got to the point that I had someone else pull back so I could see if the bolt was back far enough. I’ve tried different New magazines as well. I’m stumped.

I would try a different lower if at all possible.

Trying a lower would be a VG good idea. I’ll have to pull my prints and all my measuring tools out as well. Thanks.

Does the BCG lock with an empty mag when the charging handle is manually operated?

I suggest checking the charging handle channel in the upper for any debris or schmootz. Clean it out thoroughly. If the problem persists, try another charging handle. If the problem still persists, try a different carrier.

This is a weird problem. I'm curious to hear the outcome. But yeah, try a different lower as suggested above. woofe
