    Yes.

Don’t get me started on HK mags. I have nothing positive to report. USGI mags are fine. PMags are fine.

Disclosure: I am affiliated PRN with a tactical training center, but I speak only for myself. I have no idea what we sell, other than CLP and training. I receive no income from sale of hard goods.

I run poly, aluminum and steel AR mags, for steel body mags E-Landers run great for me. I run them in 5.56, .300bo and 6.5 Grendel. Using Rock River Arms, Palmetto State Armory & Anderson lowers. All fit n feed fine. Good strong springs. I’ve got some of the early ones with the GI style followers and newer ones with the magpul style followers, no issues with either.

I also got some of those Bulgarian steel AR mags from Clearview Investments for $11 ea. So far they seem stout and work well. Kind of AR/AK hybrid mags, the follower & base plate is more of an AK style.

And I hear the ‘heavy duty’ Asian AR mags are good too, I think you can still get those for $9.

I’ve never seen or heard of any unusual wear from using steel mags in aluminum lowers. I think if that was an issue we’d see at least one HK with symptoms.

The Beretta USA website used to sell the Italian NSN-marked steel mags. Those also seemed to be well thought of.

I had the opposite problem with the steel HK mags.

Slamming them on the ground in the prone breaks the baseplate off.

Didn't the Gen 1 E-Landers have issues anyway?

I assume that’s SOF? I didn’t think they even left mags loaded for long periods. I know for a fact that big Army does not.
