AQ planned for years and sent their A team to carry out the attacks, and on Flight 93 they were thwarted by a pick-up team made up of United Frequent Fliers. Many people look at 9/11 and wonder how we can stop an enemy like that. I look at FL93 and wonder, "How can we lose?". -- FromMyColdDeadHand

I have yet to actually see the Crane test report, only the power point brief, which does not have much to the required information, like date of the test, M4s or M4 PIPs, were the weapons new, used, or rebuilt, ammunition lot data, firing schedule, etc.

I say this because these kinds of thing have a lot to do with reading of the results. For example, was the 12,600 rounds fired through one weapon or was 1,260 round fired through each of 10 weapons?

Also, their reliability of 581.5 MRBF is about a 1/10 of ATEC reports, which is 3,671. There is obviously some apples-to-oranges comparisons going on here, or the data would be closer together.

    You're right.

They've been killing bad guys with even less reliable 10.5", 11.5", and 10.3" carbines for half a century.

Ok. I’ll look again. I didn’t find anything “ban worthy “ the first time. Must’ve missed it.
