    Forward QD sling attachment for KAC RAS?

    You’re right. But not nearly as likely if you mount the QD mount on the aft portion of the KAC RAC near the barrel nut. The RAS has a lock-up system using the nut that makes a more solid foundation.

    And the OP is asking for RAS options.

    i was only referring to the sling mount on the front sight - not a problem as i see it if sling is mounted near the mag well

    I prefer the Magpul or IWC for mounting on the top rail. A little more compact/flat than the gear sector, but not something noticed when using.
